12:18 pm	New Cellphone Finally got a new cell phone. So now I want have to worry where I call people from and of random dropped calls. I also though have a new cell phone number. 5:33 pm	Back Home Well I'm back home after an uneventfull plane ride. Lati was nice enough to drive me to the airport. I've spent the last few days just looking around going to places. Also though looking in to getting a new computer. My old one broke fianlly and now I have to get a new laptop. I been looking around and it's nice to know that it won't be as expensive as my old one. I've been looking and I'm torn between another Vaio or an Hewlett Packard, both of which are nice and shoudl allow me to play games on it well enough. Other then that I've been reading quite a bit and watching TV. Though I do need to work on painting my Dark Age minis though I realized I didn't have any brushed until after I got back from the gaming store so I'll either have to go look for some I may have hear or go buy new ones   On I did get my final grades and there pretty good. Got an A in Roman Republic, and A- in Transformation of Modern China, a B+ in International Security and a B in General Anthropology. 6:34 pm	Well things have been pretty normal here up north. I'm working at Osco again and it's not too bad as always. I have been working on my warhammer army. I got another Spawn that I'm painting and a Sorcerer that I got a while back i'm finally getting around to putting together. Next I hope to finally paint the Battle of Macragge terrain I have. I also found something interesting the other day. I was in a bookstore when I saw a version of the Warhammer Fantasy Role-playin game. It intrigued me enough to buy it. I know a number of people who have read the original book and said it had alot of probelms with it. The new version is an imporved version of the rules done by Green Ronin, which speaks well of it in my opinion. Since I never fully read the original rule book I'm not 100% clear on exactly what was wrong with it, but from reading the designer notes they fixed the careers (basicly classes) to be more balanced over all so none would totally suck, though I think that some are still alot better then others. They also changed the stats to be more relivent to role-palying as some were taken straight from the wargame. Overall I think it's no that bad of a system. I still think Victory Point is better, but it is not a bad system. It is d100 based as everything is percents and all the skills are based on a stat, which makes you equally good at eall the skills that uses the same stat. The talents, which were separated from the skills, modify some skills in certain situations, but I'm not sure if it is enough for my tastes. The combat rules let you make combat as simple or as exact as you want depending on whether you use the basic or advanced rules. Combat is pretty quick, though I can't be too sure until I actually play a game of it. Damage is based on the strength of the wielder of the weapon for melee and armor is damage reduction, so doing alot of damage can be tricky, but a good hit will hurt alot. The rules make it not to difficult to avoid attacks as everyone can parry though it's tricky unless your good in HTH. The Magic system has apparently been redone to be more in line with 6th ed. Warhammer fantasy rules and magic is not as powerful as it is in D&D and you also have to worry about being affected by Chaos. They have divine magic which is about as powerful, but a starting priest will not have magic. You don't have as bad negitive side affects as arcane magic but your god can still thump you if you screw up. The new laws out the rules in a fairly straight forward manner. 7:28 pm	Illinois Well I'm back home in Naperville. I left on Saturday as the weather was not that good on Friday as I had originally planned. The trip was long an uneventful, which is a good thing as far as I'm concerned. Saw a few odd thinsg on my trip and I thought I'd share them. Bland, Virginia. Yes such a place exists. It's in Bland County as well. Transylvania University. There is such a school. It's in Lexington Kentucky, which is an odd place to have it as Transylvania is in Eastern Europe, but hey. The trunk monkey. It was an add for a car dealership that featured a monkey presumably in a trunk though I'd rather not find out. Madalyn the emo. This is my sister Madalyn. The crazy one that spent a year in Utah. She has now become an emo complete with black makeup around the eyes and a wardrobe that looks like she stole it from Avril Lavigne. Well now I'm back and I have to work on painting my warhammer stuff and getting new stuff. SO hopefully that will go well.
